- The entire region of Lombardy in Italy will be quarantined...
- ... and this has made the head of the Italian soccer players' union call for the cessation of all matches in the country. As of right now, all such matches are being played behind closed doors.
- All official city events in San Francisco have been cancelled for two weeks -- including the St. Patrick's Day Parade. (Nine years I lived there -- didn't even know they HAD ONE...)
- The Centers for Disease Control is now officially calling on the elderly and "fragile people" to no longer fly. Significant step to grounding all passenger air travel.
- And a late addition: The NHL has now closed locker rooms to the media for concern of the virus.
- EDIT TO ADD 12 Midnight PST 3/8: And now the WWE may be in it.
The e-mail continues that there will be no travel into the main countries currently affected by the virus, and anyone even coming into contact with someone or traveling through one of those countries will have to work from home for two weeks.
Wrestlemania, as of midnight, is four weeks from today in Tampa.
