More fines, and more money for illegal headphones than some dirty hits...

• San Francisco 49ers:  Colin Kapernick is a TWO-TIME LOSER:  Fined $10,000... for illegal headphones.

You heard that right.


Earlier this week, because of NFL's commitment to Bose as "The Official Sound of the NFL". they noted that Beats By Dre headphones would now be illegal to be seen anywhere where cameras could pick them up.


(You'd think that backwards, given the thug element in the NFL, but, as my friend pointed out when we talked last night, Bose costs money, and monied people are the only important people to the NFL.)


Further complicating the matter is that Kapernick has an endorsement deal with Beats by Dre.  I smell LAWSUIT...


So, now let's find out how many dirty hits cost players less this week than Kapernick fulfilling his endorsement commitments...

• Tennessee Titans:  Derrick Morgan, $8,268 for a late hit.
• Tennessee Titans:  Andy Levitre:  same fine, same offense
• Tampa Bay Buccaneers:  Louis Murphy, $11,025 for verbal abuse of an official.
• Minnesota Vikings:  Antone Exum, $22,050 for a blindside block.
• Denver Broncos:  Julius Thomas, $8,268 for a chop block.
• Cleveland Browns:  Christian Kirksey, $8,268 for roughing the passer
• Cleveland Browns:  Craig Robertson, $8,268 for a late hit
• New England Patriots:  Jamie Collins, $8,268 for a late hit.

So, there are only two fines (so far) that are worth more than violating the league's money pit with your own endorsement deal...
