The farce completes, and boxing is dead at the hands of Mayweather...

I might watch the entire fight at some point, but I did see at least some snippets last night.

And, already, within 12 hours, the excuses from the Pacquiao camp, basically indicating that a serious shoulder injury (and the fact that drug testing prevented adequate treatment) should not have allowed the fight to go on at all...

Essentially, it really does appear that the entire mess WAS, in fact, a scripted Mayweather production, and anyone who understands the realities of the situation knows why:  Manny Pacquiao was over $18,000,000 in IRS debt, and one scenario my anonymous friend forwarded as to why the fight was structured the way it was hypothesized that the IRS notified Mayweather of a simple dichotomy:  Either the fight happens right damned now, or it doesn't ever happen at all, because they're about to move on Pacquiao.

Makes sense, when you think about it.  This fight made Pacquiao somewhere in the area of about $160,000,000 or so.

For example, I had the chance to watch Round 1 real closely, and if there were five meaningful punches in the first round:
  • I'd like to see them.
  • And Mayweather threw at least four of them.
A compromised athlete has no leverage.

A man like Mayweather calls all the shots.

And, as a result, he's never going to lose.  The only question is whether he even bothers, now, to tie Marciano or take one extra fight to get to 50-0.

Fuck the whole damn thing.

    1. Even with that angle, there's no reason for a second "fight". If this were deemed a closer situation, maybe. But Mayweather basically made another bitch out of the last person most (including used-to-be I) thought might do something to the motherfucker.
