FIFA Arrests!! Will the string FINALLY be unravelled?

Had another post I started tonight, but late developments will have to put that post on hold.

In Zurich, Switzerland, they are having the annual FIFA meetings.

They are now a few people lighter, as a number of FIFA officials were arrested Wednesday morning (Switzerland time) over a variety of corruption charges, and may be brought to trial in the United States, according to numerous media reports.

Ten men are to be arrested and six were, including vice-presidents of FIFA -- money-laundering, bribery, mail fraud.

This has the potential to feasibly shutter soccer.

Why?

Easy.  The sport is near-irretrievably corrupt.

These arrests are a good example:  The arrests span a 20-year period of World Cup bids, almost-certainly rigged matches on every conceivable level (and if you don't think 1-7 in the World Cup semifinals was rigged, you're beyond help!), and other assorted problems with the sport which might make it impossible to be contested fairly.

One of the six arrested was the head of CONCACAF, the North and Central American federation, from 1990-2011.  Did the USA bribe it's way to the 1994 host spot?

It appears as if the 2018 Russia World Cup and 2022 Qatar disaster may have finally resulted in high-level arrests.

Blatter or it didn't happen, motherfuckers!!!  He's the guy you need to get.

Word is we might find out more Wednesday (our time) in the US with a possible unsealing of the indictments.
