Super Farce XLIX, The Cheats: Reports Indicate Brady Might Get Lengthy Ban

Well, you had to know it:  After the Wells Report, Seahawks fans have petitioned to strip the Patriots of the title.

But now comes word that Tom Brady will be suspended by the league, with reports ranging from 1-2 weeks, to a feared 6-8 weeks, and some people actually stating all of next season.

You know...  When we really start taking a look at things, one can understand why the son of a bitch in New York turns a blind eye to people killing each other on the field.

One now has to make a case that, in the National Religion Era of the NFL (we're talking after 9/11), cases could be made, for ON THE FIELD (or performance-enhancing) misconduct, to strip between three and seven of the 14 Super Bowl championships since 2001-2002.
  • New England's first and last are definite, the middle two probably about 95+%.
  • New Orleans' goes for Bountygate.
  • Seattle's is a large probability for it's drug history.
  • Baltimore for the participation of Murderer Ray Lewis.
This is one of the reasons that I see either no suspension for Brady at all, or any suspension he gets being overturned.  This is already having a serious effect on Las Vegas, as most books have taken the Week 1 opener and ALL relevant NFL futures off the board.

Here's where I would go:
  • Brady gets banned for the entire 2015-16 season.
  • Bob Kraft must sell the Patriots, and a TRUE independent investigation as to the relationship between Kraft and the Commissioner's Office is started.
  • The New England Patriots lose, at minimum, the championships of Super Bowl XXXVI and XLIX.  Both championships are vacated.
  • Here would be an interesting concept to see if it sticks:  The Patriots are functionally disqualified from the playoffs for at least one further season, with more pending the Kraft investigation.
Of course, we won't see this for one simple reason:  It exposes the direct involvement of Roger Goodell in this entire episode.
