Yes, I know it's the A's and all...

But the 12,479 people who watched Oakland's 61st loss of the season (against only 21 wins) saw history tonight.

For the first time in 11 years and the 25th 24th time in Major League Baseball history, controversial Yankees pitcher Domingo German has thrown a perfect game.  And a Maddux no less, only 99 pitches.  Nine strikeouts to get the 27 up and down.

(Jargon alert:  For the efficiency which Gregg Maddux used to pitch, a Maddux is a complete-game shutout under 100 pitches.)

The 11-0 win is also the largest win of a perfect game.
