- Two-time (2022 and 2023) NCAA women's golf champion Rose Zhang became the first woman in over seven decades to win a professional debut. Playing on a sponsor's exemption after winning basically every major amateur title, Zhang won the Mizuho Americas Open in New Jersey this weekend.
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic has retired from soccer with his season ending on Sunday. An injury-filled season at 40 and 41 finally called time on Zlatan's career.
- Liam Hendriks scored his first pitching win since his return for Stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma -- on Cancer Survivors Day.
- Another drab of information vis-a-vis the next round of NFL betting scandals. As would probably stand to reason, the next reported target is another irrelevancy: An unnamed member of the Indianapolis Colts is at least being examined, not a star or a player most NFL fans would know. And Colts games, in this case, ARE involved.

- Since the San Antonio Spurs play their NBA Summer League games in Sacramento, in addition to Las Vegas, Adam Silver was asked if generational #1 draft pick Victor Wembanyama would be acceptable to debut there instead of the higher-profile Las Vegas games. Silver has no problem with Sacramento. And why would he? It'll actually increase interest in the other site!
- The smaller Sacramento league will have six teams, including the Spurs.
- The dominant Oklahoma Sooners women's softball team is back in the Championship Series of the NCAA D1 Women's College (Softball) World Series.
- They are seeking their third consecutive national championship.
- During this time, the team has only lost 8 games.
- They have won 174 -- 174-8 the last three seasons.
- Including 59-1 entering the championship series. Their only loss was a 4-3 loss at Baylor on February 19.
- This is their fourth consecutive WCWS Championship Series.
- They lost to UCLA two games to none in 2019.
- Went 57-6 that year.
- They have been in five of the last six Championship Series, winning four. This now being six of seven.
- The Kansas City Chiefs made the annual Super Bowl Champion visit to the White House today.
- They did so without the team's matriarch: Norma Hunt passed away on Sunday, wife of the team founder Lamar. Norma is one of the few people who had attended every Super Bowl from the Chiefs' loss to the Packers in I to their victory in LVII.
