  • Leo Messi has been suspended two weeks without pay by Paris-St. Germain for unauthorized trips to Saudi Arabia to miss team events.  Guess where HE'S playing next year!!!  They've already been making several overtures to have him join the same league Cristiano Ronaldo is playing in.  It won't be a transfer either -- his contract is up.

  • Ralph Boston, the 1960 Olympic champion in the long jump, died today at 83.  Boston was the first man to exceed 27 feet in the event.  He also took part in one of the raised-fist medal-stand protests in Mexico City eight years later.

  • Also yesterday, Tim Bachman, the "Bachman" or Bachman-Turner Overdrive, passed away.  He was 71.
