Suspension Blotter: Another for the Jets

  • New York Jets:  Brandon Copeland, 4 games, PEDs.
And, it looks like for the second year in a row, the Jets have to cut a check.  Chris Herndon ($175,962 lost according to Spotrac) and Copeland ($411,765) means a suspension loss for the team of $587,727, and the 15% fine for two suspensions on that is $88,159.

Copeland becomes the 35th NFL player to be suspended for at least Week 1.

The Jets become the sixth team to have to cut a Club Remittance check.
  • Dallas, three suspensions ($250,000 max)
  • Cleveland, two suspensions ($101,996)
  • New York Jets, two suspensions ($88,159)
  • Oakland, two suspensions ($75,621)
  • Minnesota, two suspensions ($44,426)
  • Indianapolis, two suspensions ($27,530)
