Suspension (And Fine?) Blotter: Before we get to Cheung...

  • It appears as if the NFL will wait in the case of Patrick Cheung, so he's not going to force Bob Kraft to cut a league check...
  • New England Patriots:  But Lance Kendricks will, suspended one game for substances of abuse.
This makes New England the seventh team to have multiple players suspended, triggering a team fine from the Club Remittance Policy.  Kendricks loses $60,000, previous suspension of Benjamin Watson lost $557,293.  (Thank you Spotrac.)

So the team is fined 15% of $617,293, or $92,564.
  • The Taylor Lewan suspension was officially announced yesterday.
No Week 2 preseason fines have been announced as of yet.  They do tend to dribble out slowly.
