Nah, The Balls Aren't Juiced! Just two more coincidences!!!

  • The Baltimore Orioles broke the record last week for the most home runs given up in a season...  With about a month and a half to go in the year.
  • The New York Yankees, tonight, broke the record for the most homers in a calendar month...  With about another week to go in August!!
Don't fool yourselves -- it's whoever wins the ALDS/ALCS between Houston and the Yankees who's going to be booked to win this World Series.  Leaning New York, but, as I noted before, there are rumblings that Houston could be coming on the radar again.

EDIT TO ADD Monday:

  • Minnesota Vikings:  Holton Hill's fine was only $10,527.
  • Los Angeles Rams:  Troy Reeder:  $10,527 for a late hit ejection.
  • New Orleans Saints:  Wes Horton:  $21,056 for a low hit.
  • Tennessee Titans:  Dion Lewis:  $28,075 for the helmet rule -- lowering his head as a running back.
So, just in what we've learned (and this is probably nowhere near complete):

Already 8 teams are fined in pre-season games which don't count.

Add the Club Remittance multiple suspensions, and the total is 12.  And we're two weeks of fine announcements through the PRESEASON.
