- In what may be the first real movement against the prediction markets, Polymarket has been compelled to stop offering sports "markets" (sports betting under another guise) in the state of Michigan. So basically sports "prediction markets" are now out of business in the state of Michigan -- and under a Federal court ruling. (Source)
- EDIT TO ADD: In a semi-unrelated story, Saquon Barkley was recently ordered by the NFL to divest his share in Polymarket. The league, unlike many states, views the prediction markets as gambling junkets. (ESPN)
