Well... Well... Well...
This shakes things up rather curiously...
Let's get to it:
NFC first this week:
1) Detroit
Especially if, as I do believe, Trump is going to be involved in the choice, I don't see how Minnesota is going to be in play here -- and that situation in Detroit was BLATANT today. Probably one of the more blatant situations in years.
2) NY Giants
Getting real suspicious that MAGA New York (like they did for Dolan in the NBA championship) may be in play here too. They are 4-2-1, and at least represented this far as the best team in the division.
3) Minnesota
Basically by default.
4) San Francisco
Did the message get through with the two-possession loss at Atlanta? I get the feeling that was a direct "Knock your shit off" message with the York suspension, the Warner fines, etc.
5) Seattle
Can't oversell the fact they took Kansas City down and convincingly tonight, even though, if the season ended this week, they would be out!
Kayfabe:
1) Minnesota
2) San Francisco
3) NY Giants
4) Carolina
5) Chicago
6) Detroit
7) Green Bay (conference tiebreak over Seattle)
AFC:
1) Cleveland
Yeah, I'm going THERE. 5-2, leading the division, the #3 seed behind Buffalo and Kansas City, and probably the biggest pimp job in the AFC not named Kansas City in DeRapist Rapist.
2) Buffalo
If you really want to put Buffalo #1, I won't stop you. But the NFL doesn't want you to embarrass the Shield, but if you have paid that penance and you're a bad man, the NFL does tend to push you when they are ready to do so. Ray Lewis, anyone? As much as Josh Allen is being viewed as the pimped MVP choice, he's not a bad man.
3) Kansas City
And, with that, we get to the DUD OF THE WEEK awards...
These may be altered in some order based on new information, but here you go:
BRONZE: Kansas City
20-3? Way to keep the fires on the log that your wins are rigged, Chiefs. Because you showed Dick and All of Nothing tonight. And I mean NOTHING.
SILVER: Carolina.
43-13... To TAMPA??? Someone was overlooking that game for the next one Thursday night at Lambeau -- and then probably didn't need to worry so much...
GOLD: Whatever approximated that officiating crew in Detroit today.
AFC Kayfabe:
1) Kansas City (conference tiebreaker over Buffalo)
2) Buffalo
3) Cleveland (HTH tiebreaker over Pittsburgh)
4) Jacksonville
5) Denver (conference tiebreaker over Pittsburgh)
6) Pittsburgh
7) New England (conference tiebreaker over Baltimore)
