Day 116

  • Not out of the woods yet, sadly -- Fourth was a nightmare (hence, the 6 AM start to the post), but still here and standing.  We had a jackass firing off M-80's and M-100's past 2 AM (and EXCLUSIVELY that), so there could be more coming.
  • Last night's Olbermann:

  • And how did Chris Jericho spend his July 4th?? Thusly!!

  • Increasing fear that the college football season will end up, at minimum, a Spring season, if not doomed outright.
  • This probably should normally merit a post of it's own, but a very interesting thread appears to implicate a prior gambling-money owner of Wigan Athletic with intentionally putting the club into administration so the points deduction can get the team relegated -- with a major bet on them being relegated in the Asian (probably underground) sports markets.
  • After a long battle with the coronavirus, and recent word he'd probably need a double lung transplant, Broadway actor Nick Cordero succumbed to it this evening.  He was 41.
  • Sean Doolittle of the Nationals is pissed.  He not only doesn't have his test results back for the coronavirus, but the protective gear for some staff which was promised hasn't shown up either!
  • It appears as if, if there is an NHL restart, it will be Toronto and Edmonton.
  • And the NBA restart continues to fall apart -- the Milwaukee Bucks now have to close their practice facilities.
  • Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman will be the new main event in Abu Dhabi for UFC 251.
  • Corey LaJoie put Trump 2020 on his #32 Go FAS Racing Team car for the Brickyard 400 today.  Finished second to last, only completing 15 laps and crashing in a pit incident.  *Muntz*  HA HA!!!!
  • The Sacramento Kings have also shuttered their facilities after a member of the traveling party tested positive for the coronavirus.
