Day 115

  • Shit could very easily hit the fan in the next 24 hours.  Updates today could be normal, sporadic is far more likely.
  • The Cleveland Indians are also going to join the Washington GoFuckYourselves in possibly changing their team name.
  • The NFLPA has now voted to cancel ALL of the 2020 preseason.  Next step to calling off the whole season. I'm sorry, ESPN.
  • Mike Trout, with a kid on the way, may sit out the 2020 season.
  • Multiple unnamed St. Louis Blues have tested positive for the coronavirus.  Practice facilities closed.
  • Voice actress Laura Bailey has publicly announced she has received death threats for her performance in The Last Of Us 2.
  • Last night's Olbermann:
  • Miguel Sano is among four Minnesota Twins who have tested positive for the coronavirus.
  • Four Atlanta Braves have as well, including Will Smith and Freddie Freeman.
  • Two Red Sox and two Cardinals as well.
  • Cleveland's Delino DeShields and San Diego's Tommy Pham were announced yesterday as testing positive, according to ESPN.
  • In Yankees training, Masahiro Tanaka was nailed in the head by a line drive from Giancarlo Stanton.
  • New records were set in both the women's (Miki Sudo) and men's (Joey Chestnut) Nathan's Hot Dog disgustingness.
  • First round of the winner-take-all The Basketball Tournament is today.  24 teams.  First game is a bunch of Xavier alumni vs. a bunch of Division II alumni.
  • Gilbert Burns is out of UFC 251 at Abu Dhabi's Fight Island:  Positive for the coronavirus.  Anybody who thinks that only about 2% or so of the population has it is mad.
  • Frances Tiafoe (tennis) is out of a rudimentary tournament, same reason.
  • The NBA has announced a week of scrimmages before the restart, starting July 22nd.  At the rate cases are exploding throughout sports, fuggedaboutit.
  • MLS with a setback:  The 10 positive tests on FC Dallas have postponed at least one game of their return tournament.
  • And another:  At least one member of the Columbus Crew tested positive.
  • David Price of the Dodgers is out of the 2020 season due to concerns with his health.
