18-12 in the opener.
26 penalties for 236 yards. The only games with the same or more penalties last year: Tampa-Miami Week 11 had 26. That's it. We just had a game with as many penalties as the highest penalty game last year. According to Pro Football Reference, there have only been about 20 games in the last 20 years with that many penalty yards. (Maybe one or two more than 20 -- they've been getting stingy and want people to subscribe.)
Most penalties in an NFL game since Week 8 2016, when the Raiders broke the record with 23 penalties for a total of 29 against Tampa. (A game in Week 2 in 2016 also had 29 -- going back further would be 32 in 2003, and 31 in a regular season game in 2000.)
At least one Antoine Williams play.
Keep selling out for this shit. At least you came within 19 seconds of an official Cliffhanger (Winning TD + 2 was at 2:19.) and a Last Chance Miss (4th and Goal for Atlanta at the Philly 5 at the gun fell incomplete in the end zone.)
And Vegas wins: Atlanta was a 1-point road favorite (there were a number of Pick Em's in Vegas), and with 55% of bets on the book Vegasinsider.com tracks going over, the game goes two touchdowns UNDER the 44.
