Don't Get Rid of the Handshake Line...

Get rid of the game instead, if it's that clear something is going to go down.

Monmouth and Iona don't like each other, and the bench histrionics which have given Monmouth an identity are a decent reason.

So, when the two teams played last night, fireworks were expected.

After the game, they weren't disappointed:

And now we have at least one columnist who's saying to get rid of the post-game handshake sportsmanship line.

No, Mr. DeCourcy. First off, I know we criticize the No Fun League and all. Whether you agree with all of what the NFL does or not, this is why the NFL gets rid of choreographed celebrations.

Second: These two teams play again in about a month (and are almost certain to meet AGAIN in Championship Week).

If you don't want trouble, you may wish to reconsider that.
