Curtain About To Fall On Daily Fantasy -- Payment Provider is out...

(ESPN)

Vantiv Entertainment notified The New York Times that it will no longer honor payment requests from Daily Fantasy sites because of the growing number of states which have declared it illegal gambling.

The decision has effective immediate effect -- they will stop as of tomorrow.

Shares of Vantiv Entertainment, according to the article, rose 6% on the announcement.

It's over, fraudsters.

The game is up.

Now whoever has money in the system is probably going to have a very hard time getting it out at all.  It's not known how much of the money Vantiv was processing, but they were seen as a "major player" according to the article.

It's going to be very interesting to me to see if we even get to baseball season before the hammer finally comes down and all the major players in Daily Fantasy go behind bars.
