Suspension and Resignation Blotter: Let's see if any of this holds muster...

• Denver Broncos:  Aqib Talib, suspended one game for the eye gouge by the league.

Should've been 6-12 MONTHS, which is what a more civilized sport like rugby would've done.  And I expect it will be reversed on appeal.

• University of Missouri:   President Tim Wolfe resigned today.

Two things disturb me about this.

1) "Football Uber Alles" wins again -- it takes the football team getting involved and possibly disrupting the bloodsport to get Wolfe out.

2) What's it really going to change?  The entire state of Missouri is a racial tinderbox, and has been for quite some time!!!
