(Deadspin)
I've seen some fucked up situations before, and this one cannot completely be attributable to football.
But half the football team and over 100 students at a Colorado high school are under criminal investigation for sexting. Since most of the students are underage, felonies are most certainly on the table.
One Deadspin commenter apparently quoted the local news saying that nude pictures were being traded like trading cards.
As a result, Canon City High School has been forced to forfeit it's last football game and a playoff spot it might've earned had it won it.
According to latest I could find, the school has 1,056 students. This means that at least one-tenth of the entire student population at the campus is involved.
One has to wonder, at this juncture, whether education can feasibly proceed at this school, given the amount of alleged misconduct. This is going to be a story worth watching.
