Something had to tell us THIS was coming...

And it's come so quickly too...

As early as Sunday, word came through the Business pages that WWE was not only up for sale, but at least one report said the next 3-6 months.

That was enough.

What made this bad -- or well beyond "bad", depending on your opinion -- was the re-emergence of Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

The Bitch Is Back.  And he came back to facilitate the sale...

The Board of Directors unanimously approved his return.  Stephanie McMahon then immediately resigned from the company entirely -- not even "leave of absence", she's gone.

Well, that should've given the indication -- and now, not only is it all but sheet-confirmed, but we're now at the denial stage (A DAZN reporter broke the story -- deleted the Tweet, probably because of the public nature of the WWE stock situation at this point...), where, given professional wrestling, the denials come about 30-60 days before the actual announcement.

A number of the top Internet rumormongers have word that Vince McMahon, while he was "retired", was facilitating the sale of the WWE to...

the Saudi Public Investment Fund.

This shithead's gonna do it.  He's gonna kill professional wrestling in this country by basically turning it over to the blood butchers of Saudi Arabia.

Now, he's going to try to negotiate a media rights deal as well, as the one he has with FOX and NBCUniversal expires some point next year.

So, what can we expect from all this shit?

A large exodus of talent.  It's one thing to do two shows a year there -- but it's clear that this move is going to make the Saudis the material bosses to the talent.  Anyone who's even at "holding nose" about all this is probably gone.  At least one, Sami Zayn from Syria, is going to have to be gone.

The end of the women's wrestling movement in the United States.  WWE, especially through NXT 1.x, was the first company to give real breath to women's wrestling as a "workrate" situation, and not the tits and ass show Vince and John Laurinitis scanned fitness-model magazines for talent for.  And this is where Stephanie's departure gives the tell:  Stephanie was the forefront of this entire movement.  The fact she isn't going back to "leave of absence", but is completely leaving the company, indicates that Vince's WWE future does NOT involve women in much of any way, shape, or form -- and that means Saudi Arabia.

Wrestlemania 41 (2025) in Saudi Arabia.  Another thing I put next to my long-standing feeling that Vince McMahon would make his final life's work the destruction of the art form known as "professional wrestling" or "sports entertainment" is, once the Saudis got an in with these Wrestlemania-like shows like Crown Jewel, it would only be a matter of time.  If they own the company...

An attempt at a third major company -- and it may include at least one McMahon...  What I could see Stephanie doing is throwing behind an effort for a competitive company -- and not just the storyline they did after Vince bought WCW.  The main piece of theorycrafting I have on this one is that there's going to be no real place for women's wrestling in the United States once this goes down.  AEW, for all of the good things it has done in the last three years, has failed on a massive level with the women's division.  If WWE goes into the hands of the Saudis, where are the women who actually can "work" go?  I could see Stephanie get involved with someone who would like to try, but that's going to require a third major company.

Vince gets even WORSE, if that's possible!!  Do I need to go into detail on this, including the first real statement of support coming from that real-life bastard bastion Ric Flair??
