And we've got another rigged/thrown game... And another player, who, if there were laws...

... would need to be arrested right off the field.

There were back-to-back DPI no-calls on the second-to-last drive for the Bengals -- the second of which led to an interception.

On the proceeding drive, this was (and correctly) called pass interference on the Bengals.

It eventually led to nothing (after at least one offensive holding no-call), and the Bengals got the ball back.

On second down after getting one first down, this happened...

After some deliberation, intentional grounding on Burrow.  Was he hit, though, as he threw?

They convert the 3rd and 16.  But then three and out and a punt.

A long punt return later, THIS HAPPENS...
Joseph Ossai, you got some explaining to do right goddamned now, thank you very much...

Because if I were running things, you'd be at least in some degree of detentive situation, answering some very pointed questions as to how in the fucking Hell you do THAT with less than 10 seconds to go in the AFC Championship game -- A TIED AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME -- to give the Chiefs the 15 yards necessary to kick the game-winning 45-yard field goal on the next play.

Yes, I'd have you off that field in fucking handcuffs for Sports Bribery.  And you wouldn't be the first NFL player this season I would've done that to.  I count at least THREE.

----------------------

But then I think about it.  It all makes sense.

The refs had been trying to tilt the table to Mahomes for the better part of the fourth quarter.  I'll get to why in my first preview of the Super Bowl next post.

If that ends up not committed, there are eight seconds left and the ball is at the Cincinnati 41.  The Chiefs punted on the aforementioned series from inside the 40.

Ladies and gentlemen, league orders.  The only question is, especially with overtime rules that guaranteed both teams the ball (and that's true only postseason this year!), why would you have it happen in regulation, or could you not ensure Mahomes' ankle holds up?

But, after the refs failed to properly deliver, they gave the direct order.

---------------------

And someone picked this one up on the long punt return to set it up:

No, not insane.  The league was only going to allow one result.

Or this, on the same run Ossai commits his stupidity...

I'm not 100% sure how that would end up getting enforced. I think they'd get five yards and an automatic first, but...
