- In an all-too-convenient moment for the NCAA and the people who would probably push Vanderbilt and those two pitchers: North Carolina State has been thrown out of the College World Series due to NCAA COVID protocols. Vanderbilt is probably going to be gifted a national title now... As I said in the NFL, I put that past NOBODY.
- A regional high-school basketball championship game last week in San Diego was marred when a largely Latino group of players had tortillas thrown at them by the other team and their fans.
- Euro 2021: Denmark and Italy, the first two to advance in the R16. And Ivan Perisic is out for the tournament -- positive coronavirus test.
- Hammer-thrower Gwen Berry may be in trouble with the USOC. During her award ceremony, the Star-Spangled Banner began to play to start the evening session (by sheer coincidence). Berry turned away from the flag, revealed a shirt reading "Activist Athlete", and may just have voided her ticket to Tokyo as a result! Stay tuned.
- And Berry does NOT believe the timing of the Anthem to the ceremony was a coincidence. Really stay tuned!
The truth is not what actually happened. It's what you can ENFORCE happened. It's ALL enforcement.
