- Fucking heat wave... Another record today, and had to struggle to keep both electricity and wits about us, and NO ONE is cooperating.
- It is now clear that the Sonya Deville stalker was there to do grave harm. He has a bail hearing in a few days, but better NOT be released -- now or ever again. And I think I can say that qualifiedly.
- Three suspensions in Texas for the response of a San Diego Padre jacking a grand slam home run on a 3-0 pitch up seven runs. Think this might spark more breaches of the "unwritten rules" to draw suspensions, especially in key matchups??
- Nick Markakis, who opted out of the baseball season and then opted back in, is now on the IL for exposure to the virus.
- Bill Plaschke has announced he is finally clear and negative after a three-week battle with the virus.
- There is an altercation from last year's NBA Western Conference Finals under investigation, as an off-duty/workman's comp cop in Oakland is now in trouble for shoving one of the owners of the Trail Blazers.
- The KBO in Korea, a season-long savior of ESPN programming, may be about to shut down if cases continue to escalate in the country. A Level 2 control situation has been invoked -- if it gets to Level 3, no more Korean baseball.
- Death Valley: 128 yesterday, 124 today. There is a purported tourist picture at the visitor's station (which has a thermometer) of 131 at Death Valley on Sunday.
The truth is not what actually happened. It's what you can ENFORCE happened. It's ALL enforcement.
