Day 143: The Baseball Season May Be Over in 48 Hours


  • Appears to be major ad partnership between at least the NBA and Grift Kings and Scam Duel (Draft Kings and Fan Duel). 
  • Sergio Perez will miss the British Grand Prix -- coronavirus positive. 
  • Four more of the Cardinals organization have tested positive for the coronavirus -- Saturday's game is postponed. 
  • The Marlins are busing the 20 or so positives back to Miami. 
  • Marqise Lee has become the 7th New England Patriot to opt out of the season.
  • According to an on-going ESPN list, 35 NFL players have now opted out. 
  • Matthew Stafford of the Lions is on the NFL's COVID-19 reserve list.  That only means he probably has been exposed to it. 
  • Lorenzo Cain of the Brewers has thrown in the towel on baseball's season. 
  • Last night's Olbermann, as he's off tonight: 

  • NHL "qualifying round" begins today. Five games on television -- on top of the conclusion of the NBA season.
  • Chris Jericho's Saturday Night Special for the week: 

  • Australian State of Victoria under a State of Disaster and an 8-6 curfew for the next month due to the spike in cases in cities like Melbourne.
