So what DON'T we know about this guy yet, NFL??

For weeks, I've been, as I've been looking over Twitter on NFL fines and had literally dozens of fans state "Fine the damn refs for all the mistakes..."

Without the ability to tell them they aren't mistakes...  *psst*

Anyway, word today that the NFL has fired an official.  Down judge (I'm assuming the guy holding the down marker at the point of the line of scrimmage.) Hugo Cruz was announced fired today by the NFL, and his union, the NFLRA, calls the firing "reckless".

I would not be surprised if this effectively was a blood offering to all the pissed-off fans.

But, even doubly so if this is the case, why this guy?

And why during the year?  Even a referee who fell asleep during a preseason clinic was allowed to complete the season, according to FootballZebras.com, who broke the story to all the major sports outlets.

Yes, Cruz was the guy who apparently missed a game-changing false start in Week 6.

Word to Football Zebras indicated he was on the line to be fired soon anyway as of last March -- but, again, it usually doesn't happen during the season!

So what else DON'T we know, NFL???
