Another update on the John Jay debacle...

Regrettably, it appears as if football has won out, and John Jay will be allowed to continue to play.

Though an emergency hearing of the conference in which John Jay High School plays sports was held today where the coaches were questioned as to their ability to control the players in light of four ejections and a referee attack, the superintendent of the Northside Independent School District has said that, for now, John Jay continues to play.

“We’ve had those conversations,” [Brian T.] Wood (sic -- I think his last name is Woods) said. “Given what we know today, we don’t believe the actions of those two young men are representative of the student-athletes on the football team or the student body at a really fine high school. We don’t believe it is in the best interests of the students at the school to make that decision at this time. It doesn’t mean we’re not open to collecting different data to change our mind but we thought it was inappropriate and unreasonable at this time.”

THEN WHAT IS IT MOTHERFUCKING GOING TO TAKE????

Or is football that fucking important in Texas that now the referees have to risk life and limb?

We already see in international soccer what can happen to referees in that situation, Mr. Woods.
