An error by somebody had ESPN deactivate all of NFL insider Adam Schefter's devices -- right before Week 2 of the pre-season...
Wonderful timing!
Basically, by rule, all of a person's devices at ESPN are deactivated if the person is found to have been terminated by the company, and someone placed Schefter on the list of people believed so terminated.
And this is, according to Schefter, the SECOND time this has occurred.
No word on who or what caused it yet.

(My anonymous friend just pointed something out to me on this one: Peter Gammons once had a brain aneurysm on the operating table, so it is not impossible to believe Gammons had a real problem on his hands, and this is not computer-related. Not known at this time.)
