Some updates, odds, and sods....

As we continue to careen through the off-season of the blog...
  • Well, Boston wrecked it in Game 3, and Deadspin doesn't like it.  They "became the "1" in "22-1", as the Warriors became the first team in NBA Playoff history to actually FoFoFo.  (The team that inspired the phrase fell one game short, and the two times a team swept into the Finals, the first round was best of five.)
  • The NFL just got a problem.  Due to the ending of the drought in California, the stadium in LA has been delayed a year.  And the NFL has a rule that a stadium must be up for two seasons before it can host a Super Bowl.  Welcome to Super Bowl LV in Tampa and Super Bowl LVI in LA.
  • Did that Nashville TV station know something?  Two weeks after it celebrated that the Nashville Predators were playing for the Stanley Cup, the Nashville Predators are playing for the Stanley Cup.
  • Nike will pay $5 million a year for a shoe deal with Odell Beckham Jr.  Richest shoe deal in the history of the NFL, double anything Nike has paid a football player.
  • Word is, according to Sports Illustrated, the end of Mike and Mike in the Morning may be coming a lot sooner than one thinks.  The entire show being structured as to how a geek and a dumb jock can co-exist -- SI says they no longer can and aren't speaking to each other other than doing a massive acting job when the "On Air" light goes on.
