The audacity of the 12th Man Cult knows few bounds...
Yardbarker, this morning, reports that a member of said Cult has already gotten a tattoo on his shoulder for the back-to-back championships for Seattle...
THREE WEEKS BEFORE IT OCCURS.
In fact, FIVE!! He got the tattoo on New Year's Eve!
The truth is not what actually happened. It's what you can ENFORCE happened. It's ALL enforcement.

The True Cost of Being the NFL's Fall Guy
Almost appropo we get this on the week that the third installment of Seattle being installed as the poster children for the NFL happens.
The second installment was Week 1 of this season, the sacrificial opening of the season which gave Seattle this game at home on Sunday.
The first installment, Fail Mary I, is what I want to talk about.
This previous weekend, it surfaced that the replacement official who called the touchdown that I truly believe the NFL ordered him to do to start the Legion of Boom bandwagon toward what now appears to be at least two Super Bowl titles paid dearly for the experience.
And this is on top of all the threats he received by Packers' fans and bettors (Green Bay, regardless of skill, is one of the most popular Vegas teams -- something which will definitely make Vegas a lot of money (and they've already made a ton on these playoffs) this Sunday.) after the call.
And it was the man profiled in the ESPN spot, Lance Easley, who is again the subject of discussion.
He now suffers serious depression and PTSD over the incident.
He now has to deal with suicidal thoughts, the loss of his wife after 28 years (who separated this year), severe agoraphobia, and the like.
I've seen what that does to people. And all this for being the Fall Guy for the NFL, because the NFL wants to install this Legion of Boom bunch of fucking thugs as the new faces of the league.
There's a simple credo here -- he was not a professional referee, and yet was made to do what a professional referee is told to do: Enforce an agenda, at all realistic cost.
Think of what that does to a person -- Easley was a bank vice-president at Bank of America. He was a D3 and high-school referee on top of it. You'd think he had a stable life and brain...
... until the NFL fucked it all up, and the entire weight of the power of the National Religion literally thrust upon his shoulders.
For another good example of all of this: Scroll down to the discussion Brian Tuohy has on the Dez Bryant situation from Sunday on his 2014 NFL season page. Look at what he personally has experienced in the last 36 hours:
We now know the officials are under orders from New York (Tuohy discusses the guy in New York at the NFL Officiating Command Center, one Dean Blandino (God, does that sound like a Mafia name or WHAT??)) on a very direct basis to make whatever call the league needs.
Imagine if you were THAT GUY...
Lance Easley does...
Every day of his life.

- A discussion with former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason who, by every fiber of his being, appears to believe Bryant should've been credited with the catch (and, except by the letter of law, put in there for a reason such as this (and you can say that on at least two levels!), he did!!).
- Tuohy was contacted by Alex Jones for an immediate appearance on his programming literally 20 minutes after the game ended.
We now know the officials are under orders from New York (Tuohy discusses the guy in New York at the NFL Officiating Command Center, one Dean Blandino (God, does that sound like a Mafia name or WHAT??)) on a very direct basis to make whatever call the league needs.

Why Most of America is About to Get Pissed, Hardcore, in the Next Three Weeks...
I'm almost expecting the SeaThugs to come out to "Voodoo Child", the NWO theme from wrestling, and, to spite Aaron Rodgers, all come out air-guitaring championship belts on Sunday.
There's a reason that America does not like the SeaThugs, and it's the mouth and dirty play like what we saw in last year's NFC title game.
Well, leave it to SeaHag and SeaThug Fan to start the mouth already, as if we're supposed to fucking hand him (as a member of the 12th Man Cult) the trophy already...
Deadspin article on the question of Peyton Manning after the loss to Indianapolis... (And this was before we found out that Manning was, in fact, injured and hiding it, in true NFL form...)
Leave it to Cult Member "IronVagina" (yes, that's his/her screen name on the Kinja sites like Deadspin) to show why most NFL fans, even the insane ones, want to punch the 12th Man in the face!!
"As a lifelong Seahawk fan, it's always fun to see Manning looking like he just walked in on his wife being double teamed by Rosie O'Donnell and Richard Simmons. I can't wait to have a game day free of Manning singing into a chicken parmesan sandwich, and then the horrifying sound of him consuming it over a sink."
This, of course, probably the same person who saw that exact look about 49 weeks ago after the one article in which FOX wasn't fellating that criminal bunch of thugs, minutes before Super Bowl XLVIII.
Fuck the SeaThugs. Fuck their fans.
And, in about three weeks, it sounds like Fuck a second Lombardi...
Goodell LOVES this. He is the "Mister McMahon" of the NFL -- the league's biggest heel.
The SeaThugs are just his best stable right now.

There's only one reason I didn't post on Sunday about the SECOND Dez Bryant play...
And, if anyone wants to criticize me for being a Packer homer, I won't stop you...
But we actually finally learned WHY the NFL put the infamously-named "Calvin Johnson Rule" into effect...
And, shock of shocks, the call was CORRECT!!!
Yes, the rule might be dumb, Deadspin...
But the fourth angle on this play (and so it doesn't get yoinked off my blog, I'm using Deadspin's own clip from the linked article...) shows that this note, which is the "Calvin Johnson Rule", makes the call correct, even by the admission of people who said Sunday "YOU'RE RUINING OUR FUN!!!":
THIS was the intent (at least kayfabe) of the "Calvin Johnson Rule".
That said, it's the only basis under which the call could be declared correct: Under the old Madden principle of "one knee equals two feet", that's a completion and an almost-certain go-ahead touchdown for Dallas.
So why did the referees actually get this one right, even though:
a) No sane person (Packers fans excepted, even though they might be insane to think it anyway) doesn't think the SeaThugs aren't going to roll to the Super Bowl now, with no real opposition left. (I'm thinking this weekend goes about 27-3 to Seattle.)
b) Dallas presents a far more compelling matchup after Green Bay admitted to being Seattle's BITCH after Week 1
and c) The political and monetary aids to Chris Christie could continue to pay dividends, especially if the league were to buy Christie's silence on sports gambling in other states?
WELL, my anonymous friend came up with a theory: The continuing question of who paid for Christie's trips to see the Cowboys in Jerry Jones' box (which, by the way, counted five in this season, ALL Cowboys wins!!!), and the very real possibility of Federal bribery charges, which could extend into the NFL, or at least make some of the inside doings of the NFL more public...
Which we all know the NFL does not want!

If you watch the fourth angle (and only the fourth one seems to let this apply) starting at 33 seconds of the clip, you see, after the Packer receiver is able to get a hand to tip around the ball (on a very well-thrown ball by Romo, even though the Cowboy fans like Apartment-Wrecker of the Year from before want to crucify him again!!), it appears as if the ball is being juggled by Bryant and then goes to ground, where his arm hits the ground, but he does not satisfy "control of the ball throughout the process", because it squirts out.Item 1: Player Going to the Ground. If a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with or without contact by an opponent), he must maintain control of the ball throughout the process of contacting the ground, whether in the field of play or the end zone. If he loses control of the ball, and the ball touches the ground before he regains control, the pass is incomplete. If he regains control prior to the ball touching the ground, the pass is complete.

Somebody Really Wants Somebody To Burn Down The Football Stadium...
The NCAA is "considering" reinstating Penn State's "wins" under pedophile-enabler/probable-murder-co-conspirator Joe Paterno...
Let that fucking process.
Somebody really wants a former victim/person of right mind to basically go and burn down Penn State's football stadium.
What's wrong, Mark? Admitting that football is more than life in this country now?
Fucking bitch...
(Or is it that you are trying to race the NFL to the bottom because you see what the NFL is doing and wants similar thugs running the show in the NCAA/college football?)

Two Rapeis Winston Reports Today -- Neither Unexpected
Jameis Winston officially is fleeing Florida State before his victim can catch him he gets injured.
The ESPN drumbeat has already started to try to get this piece of shit to #1 in the NFL Draft. A #1 pick held by... Tampa Bay.
And, in a second report, on the same day, Florida State is getting sued by the victim under Title IX.
Why am I getting the feeling she's either going to have to flee or else?

How "In Your Face!!!" are Jerry Jones, Chris Christie, and the NFL about to get???
(I'm STILL planning to complete the 2014 In Review series, but that might be next week at this rate!! Convention this weekend, and this story is exploding.)
A couple of developments today, at least one for which I must thank my anonymous friend again for looking up...
1) We're getting some of the background now between Jones and Christie. Turns out there may be MANY MORE illegalities here than just the on-the-field or even who-paid-to-get-him-to-Jerry's-box questions...
It turns out that Jerry Jones has a stake in "Legends Hospitality", which has a services contract with the Port Authority of both New York and New Jersey...
Hmmm... Kickbacks? BRIBES???
2) It now appears as if Jones and Christie can now be tied to at least FIVE NFL contests. Darren Rovell has reported that Christie has attended FIVE 2014 NFL games in the Jerry Jones box.
A 2014 season that, though many felt the Cowboys might go 5-11 or 6-10, went 12-4 and are still going!
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM....
3) And now word is that Jones wants Christie to go to Lambeau Field this weekend...
Packers, get ready to sound "Taps" on your season...
