An Opening Day (and weekend) only Blinded By The Light would love...

  • First pitch of the year:  Jacked.
  • Stanton with two huge home runs in Toronto, including the fastest exit velocity ever measured in the Rogers Centre.  (Gee, the balls aren't juiced, NAH!!!)
  • The White Sox beat Kansas City 14-7, and Matt Davidson hit three home runs in the game and Tim Anderson had two.
  • The Cubs scored eight runs, as did Colorado -- the Mets nine!
And the first game today?  10-10 middle of the 12th (with zero home runs) in Detroit vs. Pittsburgh (they were weathered out yesterday).  Winning run overruled at home plate in the 10th and the Detroit manager got tossed.

Rob Manfred is loving life right about now.
