And a prediction he made (and was slammed for by his two fellow guests) on Nightline.
Yeah, took 30 years, but the process is now in motion...
Further down his timeline, he debunks a myth he was killed a week after "Interference" was released. (To my understanding, he was largely blackballed from the investigative journalism field by the NFL for the book, and his father warned him of that.)With the wholesale legalization of sports gambling, as decreed by the U.S. Supreme Court, we are beyond the looking glass. In order to preserve the integrity of the game, the NFL and its fans will need to reevaluate everything. https://t.co/clmSLksm1C— Dan E. Moldea (@DanMoldea) January 21, 2019
He has still, however, written a half a dozen further books on a number of subjects -- including the assassination of Robert Kennedy, the OJ Simpson murder trial, and the dark secrets of Hollywood in general.
It's interesting that Dan mentions Jim Finks as possibly becoming the next commissioner (at that time). On a football forum that I go on, one of the posters said that the owners didn't want Finks because he was interested in the integrity of the game. That's why they picked Tagliabue, a lawyer that would do what they wanted. And, that's why Crapdell is the commissioner today. They want lackeys, not strong people.
