• "Sources" now do claim that Alan Williams was fined for "inappropriate activity".  That still does not rule out what some of us do believe it is.    
• Today was the final day of the September sumo tournament.  Ozeki Takakaeisho won the tournament at 11-4, playoff over low-level Maegashira Atamifuji -- Takakeisho defeated him twice in the tournament.
• Hoshoryu escapes kadoban, so all three Ozeki are at full status next tournament.
• Technically, a win by Takakeisho in November would have him considered for the royal rank of Yokozuna, but this may not be considered a strong enough victory to "count".
