• Both Monday and Tuesday were the warmest days in the history of planet Earth, as the worldwide average temperature was the highest it's ever been.
• Temperatures above freezing even made it into Antarctica, about two weeks after the start of their winter!
• Perhaps related:  The continuing disruption of British sporting events by anti-oil protesters has hit Wimbledon.  A common tactic is not only to storm the playing area, but to render it unplayable -- in Wimbledon's case, littering the courts with large amounts of small objects.
